The information provided here can be used to research the various risks and benefits associated with the extraction of natural gas from shale rock formations using the process of horizontal drilling and subsequent hydraulic fracturing, generally called "fracking". It may be able to support decision processes, such as whether natural gas development by means of "fracking" should be permitted in the County (Much of the data here will also be applicable to other counties in the US.)
